Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on releasing the body’s own ability to heal utilizing non-invasive approaches.  Chiropractors are known mostly for working with disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system including their effects of these disorders on general health.

A Note from Dr. Schroeder:

Welcome!

I believe our bodies are magnificently intelligent vital organisms which are self- healing and self-adaptive.  If kept free of interferences and provided with a regimen in which proper nutrients are provided, spinal alignment and body movement is maintained, and positive non self-defeating thoughts are customary, optimal health is soon obtained.

To accomplish this we work on balancing structure, stress, and nutrition.

Structure

An improperly aligned spine prevents you and your body from functioning correctly, causing irritation and often pain. Vertebral alignment can be affected  by physical trauma, stress, environmental toxins, and poor diet. Chiropractic adjustments realign skeletal and muscular tissues and alleviate neural irritation enabling the body to once again maintain and heal itself.

Stress

Toxins, unprocessed emotions, allergens and food/chemical sensitivities all place stress on the body creating imbalances. These imbalances create dysfunction within the body leading to disease and discomfort. Our Whole Body Health evaluation identifies these stressors and an individualized treatment plan restores balance within.

Nutrition

Accumulated toxins and diets lacking the proper ingredients for repair reduce the body’s ability to heal itself. Dietary alterations and/or whole food supplementation provides the body with both the tools and energy needed for optimum performance. Nutritional evaluations reveal internal imbalances and determine potential dietary alterations required for you to achieve optimal health.

My goal for you is optimal health.  I not only will help you remove pain and symptoms but give you the tools to regain function and to live to the best of your abilities.

We are embarking on a journey and I am happy to be on this quest with you!

Yours In Health,

Dr. Debra Schroeder

Why is Chiropractic Treatment Important?

Your spinal cord is made up of 24 protective bones which may get twisted or contorted from causes of daily life such as stress, repetitive activities, toxins, poor posture, unhealthy diet, and injuries. When this happens, those protective bones and tissue may irritate the nerves of the spinal column. This is what doctors call a subluxation.

  • Subluxations interrupt the communication/messages between your brain and cells in your body which are vital for proper body functions such as digestion, sleeping, and even walking.

The bad news is you may not always be able to tell when a subluxation has occurred! You may have a headache, feel sick or be physically uncomfortable. Chiropractic adjustments correct these subluxations.

The goal of a spinal adjustment is to restore the spinal bones and muscles back to their normal position through controlled motion and pressure. Once this is achieved and the placement of the spinal tissue is improved, the “flow of communication” returns; thus, the function of the nervous system improves and health can be reclaimed.

Chiropractic treatment is the relationship between the nervous system and the whole health of the human body. The science of chiropractic is locating the areas of subluxation and spinal malfunction. Correcting these will help the body function better as a whole.

Each person is different which is why there is no set regimen and care program that fits everyone. Chiropractic does not cover up symptoms; instead, we look at the source of the symptoms and address the underlying causes to correct the current ailment and prevent further health issues.

Doctors of Chiropractic – often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians – practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes working with the neuromusculoskeletal system along with recommending therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as providing nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
